Hail the Filipina beauty. This upcoming Miss Universe 2013 will be an exciting year especially to all Filipinos. It’s true that Filipina Beauty is one of the most celebrated beauty in the world this is so true because not one but 3 Filipinas will be competing for the title of Miss Universe 2013.
Yes, brace yourselves aside from the Miss Universe Philippines Ariella Arida a true blue pure Filipino blood which is born from Laguna, Philippines; there’s another two competitors with Filipino ancestry in their veins. One of them is declared Miss Universe Canada Riza Santos. Her name may give you a ring; she’s no new to beauty pageant like this. In fact she’s a beauty titlist herself. In 2006 she was crowned Miss Earth and she competed in Miss World in 2011 and won.
Opportunity struck this beauty queen and she entered Philippines showbiz and raised her fame as one of the housemates in reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother”. But the 25 year old Riza Santos although born and raised in Canada is a pure blooded Filipina,her parents place in Bulacan and Bataan. A showbiz career and 2 beauty titles didn’t stop her in joining other prestige beauty pageant like Miss Universe. Last 2nd of June 2013, Santos was named originally as first runner up during the coronation night but luckily pageant organizer discovered miscalculations in the results and she was declared as the Miss Universe Canada 2013 instead.
Another who will compete in Miss Universe 2013 with a Filipino blood is Ruth Jennifer Ondo Mouchita Miss Universe Gabon an African country which is new to this pageant. In fact in years of Miss Universe pageant Mouchita is the second candidate from Gabon to compete in Miss Universe. She was hailed Miss Universe Gabon last December 2012; she’s a half Filipina and can speak the language fluently.
Indeed it will be one of the most awaited events of this year. The Miss Universe 2013 will be held on November 9, 2013 at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
